The doctor's office I've been going to is way up at the top of the Janiculum hill. It's quite a hike up, but the views of the city from the top are well worth the climb. After my last appointment, I wandered across the street and through this narrow hidden gate and found myself in this beautiful park. It was a very pleasant and much needed surprise. It had been too long since I'd seen trees and grass and open places not crammed with people and traffic.
There were lots of quiet winding trails and paths....
Lots of beautiful quiet places to sit and relax....
You'd hardly even know you were right in the middle of a busy bustling city!
